This section is meant to assist cadets and officers regarding health and medical matters.
Seeing the CFOT Medical Staff
The CFOT medical staff provides medical care for all cadets. To see a member of the medical staff you can either:
- “Walk-in” to the medical office M-F from 7:30-11:30am
- Schedule an afternoon appointment through the online scheduler.
Referrals to other medical providers are made through the CFOT medical office for specialist appointments.
All communications regarding illness or medical issues should be through Lotus Notes or telephone. When addressing an email via Lotus Notes, please address the email to:
If you have an emergency, please call – do not email or text. Email and text are easily missed, but a phone call will put you in direct contact with one of our medical providers.

Major Cheryl Watson, LPN
Unless otherwise notified, only the medical office excuses cadets from classes, activities, or duties. As the Cadet Manual indicates, “It is not acceptable to report an illness after you have missed classes/activities/details”.
If you are excused from any CFOT related activity by the medical office, you are required to file a “sick report”. This is done via Lotus Notes – To:
This is a drop-down file and you should be able to just click on “CFOT Sickreport”. If you have a problem with this function, please consult IT.
All members of the student body are required to attend physical education and participate in one fitness activity per week beyond class time. This training period is to encourage each person on campus to commit to lifelong body care and maintenance. The method used to track activities is the Presidential Challenge. The President’s Challenge is a website that keeps a record of the activity you enter. Points are awarded for the activity based on time, effort and intensity. Every cadet is required to have an account. What you do should reflect at least the ONE exercise bout, outside of class, that is required for Health and Wellness, You can record all exercise that you do, including gym class time and other countable activities you can see on our online list!
